Our signature Fine Breakfast Tea is a delightful loose-leaf blend using pure black tea. Inspired by the traditional English breakfast tea, yet slightly different from what some may be accustomed to.
There are thousands of varieties of breakfast tea and it is often the go-to for any tea lover. It is one of the most popular and diverse beverages found throughout the world. Breakfast teas are commonly brewed in tea bags, where the leaves are usually crushed, resulting in more intensive or somewhat bitter flavour. For this reason, many prefer to add milk and sugar to the equation.
Breakfast tea is also widely available in loose-leaf form. The flavour profiles can vary, dependent of the leaf varietal and the processing method. As the leaves unfurl and breathe upon steeping, it allows for the depth and character to develop as you taste.
Our Fine Breakfast tea blend is robust, rich and full-bodied, making for the perfect cup of tea. The mouthfeel is smooth with mild astringency. A perfect blend of pure Assam, Ceylon and African black tea. Flavours of malt, with gentle aromas of stewed apples, apricots, biscuit and honey.
To truly appreciate the layers of flavour within our Fine Breakfast tea, we suggest brewing without milk. However, it is also suitable with an added splash of milk if you prefer. If you like your tea with milk a bit stronger, you can add a couple of minutes onto the recommended brewing time.
This popular blend of black teas is not just to be enjoyed in as a morning tea. It can make for an invigorating afternoon pick-me up simply because it is such a great tasting tea.
